Actively engaged in Teaching the Subjects in Deptt. of Dairy Microbiology anQualityControl.
In addition to the routine teaching to the B. Tech. (Dairy Technmology) courses, about twelve years vast experience of teaching and guidance to M. Sc. (Dairy Science) students.

Developed several UG/PG and Vocational course curricula in Animal Science and Dairying subjects under SRTMU, Nanded, SU, Kolhapur, Dr. BAMU, Aurangabad and MSBSHSE, Pune.

Developed/published four books and ten practical manuals as the effective teaching aids.


Research :
Working on therapeutic benefits of probiotic dairy products since last two decades. Several research papers published/presented in various National and International platforms. Five research projects completed as a Principal Investigator.

Guided seven Ph. D. (Dairy Science) scholars and four more are working for their Ph. D. (Dairy Science) degrees.


Extension Activities:

Working on therapeutic benefits of probiotic dairy products since last two decades. Currently implementing a Deptt. of Biotechnology, Govt. of India sponsored project entitled, “Demonstration-cum-Training in Dairying practices for empowerment of SC/ST and weaker sections in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra”. The total financial outlay of the project is Rs. 20.25 lacs.

Dr. Khedkar is effectively implementing the Extension activities of the College and the University by delivering several AIR talks from Nagpur, Aurangabad and Yeotmal centers of All India Radio.

He has addressed several Milk Producer’s Rallies organized by various Institutions viz. Gokul Dairy, Kolhapur, Rajhans Dairy, Sangamner, Indian Dairy Association, Vasantraoji Naik Foundation, Pusad, etc. (PhotoVasant)

As one of the most important aspects of extension activities and while shouldering the responsibility as the Principal Coordinator, Dr. Khedkar has successfully completed four short-term employment generation courses of three and six months duration sponsored by Maharashtra Council of Agriculture Education and Research, Pune. More than one hundred trainees have successfully completed the said trainings.

As a resource person, Dr. C. D. Khedkar is actively involved in the Entrepreneurship Development Training Programmes organized by APIDA, MPIDA, MCED.

Dr. Khedkar has frequently published the Extension articles in Marathi and Hindi.

He is also actively working as a Programme Officer, National Service Scheme of the college since last five years. He has successfully planted about 500 teak plants in the newly build premises of the College of Dairy Technology.

Dr. Khedkar is looking as the Incharge Officer/Coordinator of the Extension Activities of the College. He has undertaken the job of Dattak Gram/Adapted Village Scheme. He is also looking after the Dugdha Vyawasay Wahini Programme.
