XXXVII Dairy Industry Conference was inaugurated by Bharat Ratna Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, Former President of  India and was addressed by Mr. Digambar Kamat, Chief Minister, Goa, Mr. Pratapsingh Rane, Speaker, Goa Assembly, Mr.  Ravi Naik, Minister, Home, Cooperation, Women & Child. The key note address was delivered by Dr. Miss. Amrita Patel, Chairman, National Dairy Development Board, Anand. Dr. N.R. Bhasin highlighted the achievements of Indian Dairy Association(IDA). Earlier, Mr. Arun Patil, Chairman, IDA (West Zone ) welcomed the dignitaries and Mr. K. Shyju, offered a vote of thanks. During the inaugural session a Souvenir was released by Dr. Kalam.

Mr. B.M. Vyas, Managing Director, Gujarat Co.operative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd., “Amul” was conferred the Chaudhary Ved Ramji Nagar Award, instituted by V. R. S. Foods Ltd, along with the citation and a cheque of Rs.1 lakh.
